Be Careful of Deathbed Promises

Let me start out by saying I am allergic to dogs, so I never had one as a kid. In fact, I took allergy shots for 22 years to combat my allergies to dogs, cats, mold and virtually everything that grows in the ground and is green.

My Mom on the other hand, grew up with a dog and always talked about her little schnauzer. So when I went away to college, my Dad bought my Mom a Maltese named Prince to help her deal with the empty nest syndrome. Yes, I was replaced by a four-legged friend who ruled that house and their schedules.
