FirstLight is About People
Home Care is Not a Career, It’s a Calling
We know your first priority when choosing a home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.
A native of Roswell, I always wanted to have a job that “meant something” versus my prior corporate job with IBM. Having worked side-by-side with my father for 17 years and watching him as he aged, I knew that senior care in some form would be a good fit for me.
Then, two years ago, my mother-in-law started having health issues. My wife is an only child and had to handle everything for her. I watched her struggle to navigate the incredibly difficult journey of dealing with health care companies, and trying to arrange in-home care. That’s when it hit me that I wanted to bring quality home care to the community that had supported me since I was three-years-old. Why did I choose FirstLight Home Care? Because of their incredible “Culture of Care” and commitment to providing their clients with not only technology to keep them connected to their families but compassionate care as well. Our caregivers receive some of the most comprehensive training in the industry, enabling them to provide companion care, personal care, and dementia care.
Jeff and his wife, Robbin, have two children who attend Milton High School and Elkins Pointe Middle School.
Caregiving is a passion and it is one that I discovered at a very young age. Growing up, I was surrounded by a very large and extended family. I was able to see how each generation cared for and learned from one another.
Years later, my father became ill and I was no longer living near my parents. I knew that my mother struggled to care for him and maintain a full-time job. While I tried to be there as much as I could, I was caring for a loved one with a physical disability at home.
At the time, I had no idea that home care was an option. That it would have given me the ability to go and be with my parents and know that the family I left behind was taken care of. And, when I was home, that my parents had the help and support they needed. Home care not only allows individuals to remain in their homes and be cared for but it also provides peace of mind to their loved ones. That’s why I chose to be a part of FirstLight Home Care.

A Message From the Owners
Our “Culture of Care” is unique in the industry. It fuels everything we do from hiring the best caregivers to matching them with the right client. Our caregivers are extraordinary. Our screening process is extensive. But, it is more than just verifying information and running background checks. We make sure that our caregivers love what they do. That they are passionate about serving those in need. They are empathetic, compassionate, trust-worthy, and most importantly, they will treat your family as if it is their own.
At FirstLight Home Care, the genuine health and well-being of others is our greatest concern. Our mission is to provide first-class personal service for our clients so that they may enjoy warmth, independence and relaxed comfort in their own home or any setting. We vow to provide high-quality home care services to seniors, people with disabilities, those recovering from illness, injury or surgery, mothers just home from the hospital, veterans, and anyone who needs a little extra help.
If you, or someone you know, need home care services, we would love the opportunity to provide a complimentary consultation so that you, or they, can see how my team can provide help where it’s needed most—in the comfort of one’s own home, wherever that may be.
