Sometimes Even the Smallest Change Can Catapult, Unblock, and Move Us Forward<\/p><\/div>\n

If we don’t care for ourselves, the results of not doing so catch up with us. We were speaking recently with a group of caregivers who all found themselves to be coming up on empty following some unexpected setbacks to their normal routines. The incidents that occurred to them recently totally drained them of their energy and made them incapable of providing care for their loved ones any further without some outside assistance. <\/p>\n

These caregivers all described some very similar symptoms when they got to the end of their ropes – e.g., some with tingling or numbness, some with tinnitus. They likened the experiences to the lack of saving for that rainy day in a savings account. Sometimes, what we all need is that ‘sentinel’ or ‘one’ event to slow us down and immobilize us – it catches our attention. We then become forced to take stock of ourselves, our priorities, our health, and set out a plan for moving forward, regaining healthy control of our lives.
