To further offer you a greater peace of mind, we will keep you informed and involved in our caregiving process to ensure that they are being cared for in the best possible way.

Here are some of the ways that we can help:

Companion Care

Personal Care

Dementia Care

Respite Care

Brain Health Services

Travel Companion Program

Our non-medical in-home senior care services in Hattiesburg and Laurel includes everything from household chores like cooking, cleaning and laundry, to personal homecare needs like bathing and hygiene, continence and toileting care, mobility assistance, and helping them eat when needed. These services are available to seniors and adults of all ages needing little assistance to help them stay in their homes, care for the elderly with chronic disease, loved-ones with special needs or disability, those recovering from illness or surgery, new mothers undergoing post-partum recovery, families of active duty military personnel deployed abroad, or even those who just needs someone to talk to.

Whenever or wherever you need us, our homecare service professionals will be there regardless of your time and situation. At FirstLight Home Care, our homecare services are offered for short-term care, or long-term care—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What Are the Advantages of Home Care Versus Senior Care in a Facility?

Simply put: Freedom. Allowing seniors the dignity to choose to be in their own home, and be able to maintain their level of mobility in their daily life is better-off physically, mentally, and emotionally.  The fact is seniors who are put in nursing home facilities most oftentimes develop loneliness leading to depression– which negatively impacts their health and quality of life.

Many times nursing homes, assisted living facilities or retirement communities are unable to provide additional companion care and assistance that families need for their loved-ones. Additional services like running errands, doctor’s appointments, or just taking them to a favorite restaurant—families turn to FirstLight for help, and we are always available for them.
