Extraordinary People. Exceptional Care
Providing The Best In-Home Care, Elderly Care & Senior Care
No one knows your loved one better than you, which is why we take everything you tell us into consideration when it comes to deciding what care plan will work best for them. We have the same desire as you; we want your loved one to be able to live independently and still have a high-quality life. We spend time getting to know your loved one so that they become familiar with their new caregivers. We also work hard to keep you informed about the care assistance services your loved one is receiving, so you can rest assured that they are being cared for the way they deserve.
Here are some of the ways that we can help:
What is the Difference Between Home Care and Home Healthcare?
FirstLight Home Care of Metro Atlanta offers care assistance services. Our non-medical home care covers a variety of household tasks like meal prep, cleaning, laundry and more. Other services we provide include hygiene assistance, eating assistance, and mobility assistance. You can choose between short-term home care plans and long-term home care plans. We work around your schedule and we are available every single day of the year, twenty-four hours a day.
There are no limitations to when our services are available and where our services can be provided. We are here to help adults with chronic illnesses, seniors who need extra help in order to continue living in their homes, families of deployed members of the military who need a helping hand, new mothers, families who have someone with a disability, or individuals recovering from surgery or particular illnesses. Even if you just need someone to share the day with, we have you covered.
What Are the Advantages of Home Care Versus Senior Care in a Facility?
The biggest advantage of home care is freedom. Seniors have more chances to stay physically active within their own homes. They choose their own schedule and have some element of control over their mobility. It is also better for their mental health and quality of life.
It’s not uncommon for families to ask FirstLight to send a caregiver to their loved one who has been placed in a retirement community, nursing home, or assisted living area. This provides an extra layer of care for your loved ones. Often, our caregivers will provide services like running errands or taking your loved one out to their favorite restaurants. These accommodations are not generally offered by those senior care facilities.
