Disability Care Services
We understand that individuals with disabilities have specific, unique care requirements. In many cases, limitations with mobility or other activities of daily living require home care assistance. Our approach to home care ensures that our care coordinators perform a thorough needs analysis to develop, implement and manage your loved one’s care plan. Our caregivers receive special training to perform the duties required to manage each case appropriately, and ensure that the objectives and outcomes for care are achieved. In many cases our caregivers serve as the primary caregiver, but can also provide respite care, or relief care, for a primary caregiver, friend or family member.
When assisting those with disabilities, we provide both companion care and personal care services. Personal care involves help with Activities of Daily Living, or ADL’s. These include help with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, bathing, continence management or toileting and personal hygiene. Companion care aims at meeting social needs, and more basic household chores or duties. Household duties we can help with include cooking, baking, light housekeeping and laundry and other common household tasks. All caregiving services are available as both short-term home care and long-term home care, up to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
