Extraordinary People. Exceptional Care

Providing The Best In-Home Care, Elderly Care & Senior Care

At FirstLight Home Care of South Miami, our goal in providing services is to offer seniors continued independence. Many seniors can stay in their homes, with that bit of extra help from home care. To give the best senior care in the Miami area, we take the time to get to know your senior parent or grandparent to see how we can be most helpful to them. It’s important that any senior feel confident that the caregiver who is coming into their home will make their days easier, and knows exactly how they like things done.

FirstLight Home Care offers senior care and companion care services 365 days of the year in Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Aventura and throughout Miami, including weekends and holidays. Our non-medical home care is available, whenever a senior needs help. We can assist with daily chores that may have become difficult such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. Our senior care services also include personal care concerns such as bathing, medication reminders, continence and toileting care, mobility assistance and assistance with eating.

Along with our senior care services in Miami, we also provide assistance for those managing a chronic illness, new parents, families of deployed military personnel and individuals with disabilities.  We also have companion care services that just provide someone to sit and talk with, or share a favorite activity.

What Are the Advantages of Home Care Versus Senior Care in a Facility?

Home care is an excellent option for those needing senior care in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, or Aventura, or Miami-Dade County, because it offers the ability to be more active and have more freedom. Seniors like home care because they can better manage their own daily routines and be more mobile. Some seniors experience depression when entering a facility, and with in home senior care and companion care they can avoid this as well.

Sometimes a family will request that a FirstLight caregiver comes to the nursing home, retirement community or assisted living facility for any needs that not being met. These services may include going to medical appointment, taking care of errands, or visiting a favorite restaurant.
