FirstLight is About People

Home Care is Not a Career, It’s a Calling

We know your first priority when choosing a home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.

Tabitha Goodall: Care Coordinator

In my life, I have had a variety of opportunities to grow in my professional career such as internships with Social Services, the Federal Public Defenders office, and earning my dispatcher certification. The internships were during my high school days and helped me grow immensely as a young adult. Later work opportunities include but are not limited to retail, food service, delivering pizzas, housekeeper; when I stumbled upon caregiving, I knew I found what I was looking for, or at least I was going in the right direction.
I started my career as a caregiver with FirstLight Home Care, Denver West, in 2014, then moved back a year later back to my home town, Las Vegas. At the time, FirstLight was not open, so I worked for a group home taking care of 10 residents as the PM shift supervisor and was the Medication Technician. While working with the group home, I discovered FirstLight opened in Las Vegas, and being a caregiver for FirstLight was an amazing experience, so I knew I wanted to go back to FirstLight. I was hired on as a caregiver with FirstLight Home Care of Southern Nevada in 2017 and was given the opportunity to become the Care Coordinator shortly after.
In 2019, I was given another opportunity to relocate to the Pacific Northwest where I have always dreamed of living. I am blessed to work with FirstLight Home Care of CdA and Spokane, living the dream. In this position, I am able to hire the best of the best, and I know what I’m looking for because caregiving is so much more than ‘just showing up’. Here, we are matchmakers, I match our care staff to their clients by personality, skill set, and so much more, so the client can have THEIR caregiver and develop a deeper connection. We are so blessed to have a team of extraordinary people who give exceptional care, family taking care of family.
Stacey Mora: Care Coordinator

Stacey received her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 1998 from the California School for Professional Psychology-Los Angeles. Over the last two decades, her clinical experience has extended from the mental health field to the business world. With personal growth being at the center of Stacey’s passion, she has worked with individuals, children and their families to bring about lasting change in the family system. In the business world, she has worked with countless customers and employees to create a culture of excellence in the field of customer service, employee growth and job satisfaction.

Personally, Stacey’s hero is her father who has suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for the last twenty years. This progressive degenerative disease of the brain has left an indelible mark on her heart as she continues to learn what it is to thrive as she endures  “the long goodbye.” Moreover, FirstLight Home Care has been a blessing to Stacey as her mother has suffered unforeseen health challenges and required their services. The care she has received has ultimately allowed her more quality time with her Mom, which to Stacey is priceless!

In her free time, Stacey enjoys hiking, gardening and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her best friend and life partner, Chad and their feisty Olde English Bulldogge, Gracie.
