Home Care is Not a Career, It’s a Calling
Several years ago my mother became terminally ill. She was the primary caregiver for my father, who suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. Both my brother and I lived in different states from where my parents were living. We were completely at a loss as to how to care for our beloved parents and our hearts were breaking.
At the time I didn’t know that the home care industry even existed.
When an opportunity presented itself to me to start a new company, I immediately thought of home care. As a consumer, I understand the need for this service and, as a business owner, I understand the importance of providing the best service possible to my community. That is why I started FirstLight Home Care of the West Shore. FirstLight’s Culture of Care is our company guideline. At FirstLight Home Care the genuine health and well-being of our clients and care givers is our greatest concern. We match the ultimate care giver with the ultimate client. Our goal is to keep our client’s safe and independent in their own home. Our bond with our care givers allows them to deliver their best service so that our clients can live their best life.
Our services include both companion and personal care. We can also help with meal preparation, house keeping, errand running, transportation and medication reminders. We are problem solvers, activity planners, confidants and peace of mind.
FirstLight Home Care of the West Shore is locally owned and growing with an emphasis on finding and training extraordinary people to provide exceptional care. Our family of care givers are skilled, compassionate and reliable. When I hire care givers, I keep my parents in mind, and only hire those that I would trust to assist my own family.
