FirstLight Home Care Opens to Serve the Gold Coast

Delray Beach, Florida (Feb. 6, 2015) — FirstLight Home Care, provider of quality, affordable, non-medical in-home care for adults, is now open serving the Gold Coast. It is owned by local residents Chris and Lisa Ruth.

FirstLight Home Care of the Gold Coast offers complete companion and personal care services for seniors, new mothers, those recovering from surgery and others in need of assistance. Services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, driving to doctors’ appointments, personal care, travel companionship and any other services that help the people we serve stay comfortable in their own homes and active in the community.

FirstLight Home Care will serve residents in southern Palm Beach County and northern Broward County from Palm Beach down to Fort Lauderdale, including Boca Raton.

The couple relocated from Manhattan to Delray Beach to be closer to family, and their experience showed them there was an opportunity to continue their professional careers while focusing on the needs of others and that of the senior community,” Chris Ruth said.

They were drawn to the in-home care industry after serving as caregivers for family members with Alzheimer’s and other conditions, Lisa Ruth explained.

“Through these difficult experiences, we learned first-hand the challenges many seniors and their families face,” she said. “We wanted to do something that would improve the lives for seniors and their families.”

To do that, the Ruth’s decided to build their business based on a client-first philosophy.
