I am so thankful I found First Light Home Care (McHenry County). My husband had extensive spine surgery. We were not anticipating the need for home health services during recovery, but quickly realized that I could not be the sole caregiver … More and still do other necessary things — like sleep. Luckily, First Light was able to fill in within a day or two of speaking with them. Each staff person I spoke with was professional, yet friendly, and did their best to accommodate our needs with scheduling. The caregivers were a joy to have here. They were warm, interesting and ready to lend a hand. We were worried it would be awkward to have a caregiver in our home, but they made it easy. We highly recommend First Light of McHenry. -

To know that there is someone in the home looking out for the well being of your loved ones is … More immeasurable! She has been caring, dependable, VERY attentive to the needs of our parents and brings a bright light into the home everyday. From the moment of my first contact with Sande, I was treated with compassion for not only my mother but myself. The entire team has been amazing … More and truly care for the patient and the family. Sande has been able to anticipate things I didn't even know I would need. Scheduling has been very flexible with me and as my moms situation changed they picked up the slack quickly, efficiently and professionally. I would recommend this agency highly. -

The caregivers do a great job working with my mom, who has been dealing with both the confusion of dementia and chronic pain. Rachel the office manager and owner Sandy have been great at handling special requests I have, as well as being … More flexible and responsive in adjusting scheduling and care as my mom's needs change. Everyone here has been really good to work with. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to reach them when anything comes up, as I'm out of state and rely on them for information as well as care-giving assistance.
