Flynt Foster, Care Coordinator

Flynt Foster, a Franklin, TN native with a commitment to compassionate care through six years of service at FirstLight Home Care.

A graduate of the University of Tampa with a degree in Communications and a former D2 swimmer, I discovered my passion for helping seniors navigate challenging times after assisting my grandmother years ago. After my grandfather passed away in 2015, my grandmother became depressed and started to decline in health. I was at home trying to help my mom out in caring for my grandmother, but she also suffered from health problems as well. We reached out to our church to see what our options would be in getting additional assistance and found homecare. I knew that there were thousands of families just like ours that needed help in homes and facilities across Tennessee, and I want families to know there are options no matter where you live.

As a certified dementia practitioner, I have experience guiding families through the complexities and changes their loved ones experience. My goal is to provide all families with peace of mind by offering the best possible care through service and information.

My background in coaching and working with children in my twenties, along with my swimming experience, instilled in me the importance of exercise. While it’s easier to stay active when you’re young, I’ve observed that for seniors, maintaining movement and an active lifestyle significantly contributes to their health and happiness as they age.

If I had to give one piece of advice to seniors, it would be to find activities and hobbies that keep you moving.
