FirstLight Home Care – South Sound is delighted to announce that Stephanie Lane has been named our 2017 Caregiver of the Year!
FirstLight co-owner Sarah Lane (no relation) called Stephanie “an amazing caregiver who is very deserving of our Caregiver of the Year award.”
“She is kind, compassionate and extremely skilled,” explained Sarah. “She has a soft touch and works well with all clients, those needing lots of physical care and those needing mostly companionship or help around the house. Clients and families love her. Many have often told us she is the best caregiver they have ever had.”
Originally from Colville, WA, Stephanie began working as a caregiver for FirstLight of Olympia in October 2016. Earlier this year, she was also recognized by the Senior Action Network for a caregiving award after being nominated by one of her clients.
“The dignity and respect that Stephanie demonstrates to her clients is truly amazing,” said Christine in nominating Stephanie. “She is intelligent and compassionate and she uses her many talents to brighten the days of those she cares for. Stephanie Lane is a superstar!”
Stephanie, who has a 5-year-old daughter, said that caring for others is one of her passions.
“I love people, listening to their stories and learning from them,” she said. “Caregiving has always been a passion for me and I have found that working for First Light has allowed me to expand my skills while doing what I love.
“I am honored to be recognized as caregiver of the year,” Stephanie added. “It’s a priceless feeling to work for a company that I would recommend to anyone including my own family.”
