Whitney Brown, Owner & Operator

Whitney Brown is the owner of First Light Home Care of Boulder & Broomfield, a non-medical home care agency rooted in compassion, experience, and a deep respect for the people it serves. A nurse for more than 20 years, Whitney has spent her career walking alongside individuals and families during some of life’s most important and vulnerable moments.

Her background includes extensive experience in home health, hospice care, and non-medical home care, giving her a unique understanding of what truly matters when someone needs support at home. Through her years in nursing, Whitney saw firsthand how meaningful, relationship-based care can ease stress, preserve dignity, and bring comfort—not only to clients, but to their families as well.

Three years ago, Whitney purchased First Light Home Care of Boulder & Broomfield to fulfill a long-held dream of caring for people the right way. She was drawn to the opportunity to shape a care environment where compassion comes first, caregivers are supported, and clients are treated like family—not numbers or tasks on a schedule.

Whitney is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company and is deeply committed to maintaining high standards of care, caregiver training, and family communication. For her, this work is more than ownership—it is a calling.

Deven Rivenes, Director of Client Services

Deven Rivenes is our Director of Client Services and has been working with FirstLight Home Care beginning as a Caregiver since 2017. His passion is working with Veterans and coordinating their care with the local Veterans Administration team to ensure the best experience possible while utilizing their home care benefits.

Deven and his wife, Marissa, have dedicated their career paths to the service of those that need care and assistance the most. If not cheering on the Broncos at Mile High, you may find these two local Coloradans camping in the Rocky Mountains or spending time with their family and pups. We are honored to have Deven on the FirstLight team and our clients benefit from his experience and compassion everyday!
