    … More felt welcomed and supported in my role. The onboarding and training that I received made me feel confident and excited about the prospect of caring for the clients that we serve. Every new week I gained more knowledge and skills that allowed me to be the best caregiver that I could be. All this while continually being supported by the owners and office staff.
    Fast forward a couple of years and I am now serving as a care coordinator for the team. FirstLight encourages development of their employees, and this showed when they took a vested interest in my abilities and insight and wanted me to join their admin team. I now have come to oversee the care that our clients receive, ensuring that our amazing caregivers are fully equipped and excited to provide.
    FirstLight truly has been a blessing and one that I would gladly entrust with care of my loved ones!

    My sister in SC has used aides twice a week from First Light for several years now. Due to her declining health, I took over the financial responsibility of the service about two years ago. Last Spring (2023), my sister moved to a very … More good Assisted Living facility. At the time, we needed to decide whether to continue with First Light or not. By far, the best decision we made was to keep the aide and services from First Light. The aide makes sure my sister keeps her medical appointments; she provides activities for my sister separate from the Assisted Living facility which provides my sister with a higher quality of life, and the aide permits me to have my life here in another state. It is more than just the aide. If there are any concerns about anything, someone from First Light calls me and makes sure I am aware of what is happening. First Light’s staff is well informed and professional. I could not be more pleased. I know there is someone there, if needed. I highly recommend First Light for Home Care services.

    We first used FirstLight in 2015 when my father required 24/7 care. The only time we had an issue with a caregiver not showing up was due to severe weather. Lisa would come out herself if necessary to cover until a caregiver could be there. … More After dad passed away, they continued caring for mom until we had to move her to memory care. This has been an 8 year relationship. Every now and then you get a caregiver who is not a good fit or conducts personal business on the clock, but the lines of communication are open. Lisa is responsive to your concerns.

    FirstLight has been serving my father now for over a year since a stroke left him disabled. I'm very happy with all aspects of the care received. I got my life back! Everything gets done that he needs. Transport, shopping, housework. … More It's always been smooth. I was worried about the cost, but the owner helped by suggesting programs that might be available to my father. I would have never known he qualified for the VA program and the Respite programs. He's set for life now and he's one happy camper! Thanks for everything Lisa (owner), and all the FirstLight team that have helped my dad.

I am writing to be sure you know how much I appreciate your excellent service and care in regard to my mother. I am so happy that my sister-in-law insisted that we terminate the services of one of you competitors to use you. I thought she was being too picky, but now I realize it was not just the right call, but it was also a blessing. Because of your great service my mother could safely stay in her home much longer than expected.

I wanted to let y’all know that mom and dad really enjoyed their time with their caregiver last Friday. They both enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him a little. I cannot express in words, how much it means to me and my siblings, the fantastic work you and your caregivers provide.
