I am a private case manager and I have many clients who use First Light services. First Light has been amazing so far! My family hired them for my mother who lives in an Independent Living facility, but needs additional help in order to remain in that environment. They conducted a thorough assessment/evaluation with my mother, who initially was reluctant to have a caregiver. However, they made her feel at ease, and she has now settled in with her wonderful caregiver Lilia! She looks forward to Lilia’s visits every week, and we have been thrilled with their services and flexibility.
My mom was in the hospital for several days, and when she was released, First Light provided a 12 – hour overnight caregiver, and one the following afternoon to make sure she was well cared for. They did this on very little notice. Every time I call, everyone is so kind and responsive. Since we all live out of state, First Light has been a very comforting and reassuring service for us. Today was our first time to use FirstLight Home Care. My partner is dealing with longterm metastatic prostate cancer. We were assigned Kendra Glass as our Caregiver. She was amazing and we’ll have her tomorrow was well. She vacuumed, did laundry, dealt with the dishwasher, made our bed, fixed him some lunch. This gave me time to have a doctor visit and go to Costco to get new glassed ordered. Tomorrow Kendra is going to make Craig French Toast for breakfast!
Tammy has been very helpful supporting our family with establishing quality care for our mom during a difficult time with her growing care needs. I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care by First Light Home Care. From my initial communication I knew this company cared and gave nothing but the best care. I work in hospice and we worked together with a client. First Light made sure we had great communication and we knew what was going on and why the need for hospice. When I came to the home to meet the family Lindsay was there to introduce us. While speaking with patient and family Lindsay gave such kind and gentle care. She helped with keeping her comfortable not only from the pain but just everything she was going thru. Firstlight really came through for me when I needed help. My home care person, Mirranda, has been of great value to my life for several years. I am a client of FirstLight. My caregiver, Erin, has been with me for two and a half years. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. I can tell that she cares deeply for each of her clients and really enjoys doing whatever she can to make us feel comfortable in our homes. I have been working with First Light for almost three months. I’ve had only one negative experience with a caregiver, but the administrative team dealt with the problem swiftly, and I am pleased with their response and resolution. Currently, I work with two primary caregivers, Bree and Habiba. They are both excellent. I am so grateful to have found my perfect match for a caregiver in Habiba! She is efficient, responsible, hardworking, task-oriented, thoughtful, proactive, trustworthy, empathetic, caring, and personable. In addition to helping create a liveable and sanitary home, she has immensely improved my quality of life by helping me return to gardening. Habiba helps me maintain my indoor hydroponic “Gardyn,” which I consider priceless. I am blessed and grateful to have First Light and Habiba on my support team.
FirstLight Home Care has been a life saver since I came home from 2 1/2 months in rehab after breaking my leg.
I can’t say enough good things about the aides. Most are CNAs with experience. All have been so caring, efficient and upbeat. Everyone I’ve spoken to at the office, as well, have been more than willing to accommodate my requests.
They are very flexible and have worked with me as I’m improving and need to make schedule changes.

Our family hired FirstLight Home Care over 3 years ago when it was clear that my Dad needed help caring for my Mom. From the very first visit, we were impressed with the quality of their in-home staff and customer service.
Initially they were coming a couple times a week. As Mom’s health declined, and more hours were needed, they were extremely flexible and accommodating. Eventually Mom required assisted living and we had to say goodbye to their wonderful staff.
It wasn’t but a few months later that Mom fell and entered Hospice. When we made the decision to move her back home for her final days, we enlisted FirstLight’s help again to assist Dad with household chores. Their staff was always professional and empathetic during one of the most difficult times our family has endured.
After Mom’s passing, Dad wanted to keep them on for himself and we are still using their services today.

I cannot begin to recommend FirstLight Home Care enough! My mother had meningitis after a surgery and at 87-88 we almost lost her and she had to re-learn so many things and ended up on a catheter as well. She never could have come home without Firstlight and they worked with us from the beginning with the number of days and hours and she now needs much less care and they have let us reduce the number of days and hours. They also made sure the people they sent were the ones that Mom is most comfortable with. Lindsey is one of the owners and she is so caring and accommodating and I know I can always reach out if necessary. They are a Godsend, truly!!
The owners and staff of FirstLight are caring people who also know how to run a business. It’s hard finding good people and figuring out how to match them with the folks that they serve. Somehow they find people like Abigail V who love the work and then figure out who they work best with. I hate to think about where my dad, Tom, would be without them. Love this team!
