A little kindness can make a big difference, especially when a community comes together to help those who need it most.
FirstLight Home Care is proud to support Fall for Community 2026, a meaningful community event bringing Denver neighbors together to provide essential supplies, warmth, and encouragement to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Held during National Homelessness Awareness Month, this special gathering is an opportunity to turn compassion into action, one care package at a time.
Join Us for Fall for Community!
Date: Sunday, November 8, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Senior Support Services
846 East 18th Avenue, Denver, CO 80218
Hosted by New Phase Navigation, with support from FirstLight Home Care, the event will bring volunteers together to assemble care packages filled with hygiene essentials, warm clothing, food, and other necessities. These packages will then be delivered to neighbors in need throughout the community.
This year’s featured nonprofit is Senior Support Services, Denver’s only day center dedicated exclusively to adults ages 60 and older who are experiencing homelessness or are in need.
Three Ways You Can Make a Difference
Whether you have a few hours to give or would like to contribute supplies, there are several ways to get involved:
- Volunteer: Join us on November 8 to help assemble care packages for our unhoused neighbors.
- Donate: Contribute snacks, warm accessories, hygiene products, or monetary gifts. Smaller items that fit easily into tote bags are especially helpful.
- Become a Sponsor: Support the event by providing bulk supplies, food for volunteers, care package bags, or a larger financial contribution.
Every contribution helps bring comfort and practical support to someone who needs it.
Caring for Our Community Beyond the Home
At FirstLight, caring for others extends beyond the services we provide to individuals and families in their homes.
We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, regardless of their circumstances. Supporting initiatives like Fall for Community reflects those values and strengthens the connections that make Denver a community where neighbors look out for one another.
We’re especially grateful for organizations like Senior Support Services that provide vital resources to older adults facing difficult circumstances.
Be Part of Something Meaningful This November
We invite our Denver neighbors, families, local businesses, and community partners to join us in making Fall for Community 2026 a success.
