I was at my wit's end when I got a call from Dr. Riley in response to my inquiry on A Place for Mom. I had been taking care of my 92 year-old mom almost 24/7 for more than a week after a sudden change in her health and knew I needed … More help. Dr. Riley was very calm and competent, and was able to come that afternoon for an assessment and get a care worker in the next day. I have been pleasantly surprised by the level of quality of the carers and how compassionate they are. The flexibility of the scheduling is amazing and the responsiveness of the staff has been excellent. Their rates are competitive and the whole process has been very smooth. I highly recommend them! -

I was seeking help to ease the way for a very difficult, and needy friend with dementia to transition from her home to an assisted living facility. The owner and Caregivers at FirstLight were exceptionally sensitive and patient with her, … More even when she was being quite rude, contrary and obstinate about letting them help her with anything. Lou, in particular, sought creative and thoughtful ways to connect with her. She took her to the store, then out to eat. Lou brought meals to her room when the dining room was too overwhelming for her. She mopped up after her incontinent dog, helped her shower (a major feat), and even gave her a therapeutic foot bath! Ultimately, my friend, whose behavior became increasingly irrational and irascible abruptly terminated service. Brenden, the owner, and Lou were completely professional, kind and gracious about it.. Because she has cancer and is recovering from a stroke, finding an efficient, caring team of home aides to … More care for her while my husband and I worked was imperative. Dereje, the owner, made sure we were always covered and the workers were on time, vetted, and vaccinated and he truly cared that my mom received the upmost of assistance. Each Aide (especially Maria) took care of mom as if she were her mother, and when they were with her I had no worries. They’re helped her with mobility and cognitive exercises as well as daily personal hygiene. My fears of leaving her with “non-family” members went out the window because they quickly became part of our family. If you want a dependable, competent, caring Home Aide Team, give FLHC a try,—you won’t be disappointed in the caregivers! -

Dr. Riley was very calm and competent, and was able to come that afternoon for an assessment and get a care worker in the next day. I have been pleasantly surprised by the level of quality of the carers and how compassionate they are. The flexibility of the scheduling is amazing and the responsiveness of the staff has been excellent. Their rates are competitive and the whole process has been very smooth. I highly recommend them!

Lou brought meals to her room when the dining room was too overwhelming for her. She mopped up after her incontinent dog, helped her shower (a major feat), and even gave her a therapeutic foot bath! Ultimately, my friend, whose behavior became increasingly irrational and irascible abruptly terminated service. Brenden, the owner, and Lou were completely professional, kind and gracious about it.. I highly recommend this company!

Last year, First Light Home Care (FLHC) provided home health/companion care for my 72-year old mom when she needed it the most. Because she has cancer and is recovering from a stroke, finding an efficient, caring team of home aides to care for her while my husband and I worked was imperative. Dereje, the owner, made sure we were always covered and the workers were on time, vetted, and vaccinated and he truly cared that my mom received the upmost of assistance. Each Aide (especially Maria) took care of mom as if she were her mother, and when they were with her I had no worries. They’re helped her with mobility and cognitive exercises as well as daily personal hygiene. My fears of leaving her with “non-family” members went out the window because they quickly became part of our family.
