Michael R. Senchak, Owner

Michael R. Senchak, Owner

Michael graduated with a Business Administration degree from Youngstown State University. While at YSU, Michael was awarded the Senior Leadership Award in Management.

Michael grew up watching his father work in various healthcare settings, teaching him that people rely on providers and agencies that can provide quality care and empathetic understanding. Working in a business with his father has always been a dream of Michael’s. Personally, he has seen the need for quality in-home caregivers grow within his family in the past couple of years, sparking his interest in the non-medical home care industry.

Outside of work, you can often find Michael enjoying the great outdoors with his wife Kelley and dogs Bruno, Cowboy and Dingo. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Michael is also very active in his local church.

Mike S. Senchak, Owner

Mike S. Senchak, Owner

Mike comes to FirstLight Home Care of the Valley with over 40 years of healthcare experience. He started his healthcare career as an orderly while obtaining various degrees from YSU, including undergraduate degrees in Business and Nursing, and a Master in Business Administration degree. His healthcare experiences include providing direct patient care in various clinical settings, nursing administration and hospital administration. In 1999 Mike started Mahoning Valley Hospital and served as the President and Chief Operating Officer for nine years.

Over the past few years Mike and his son, Michael, discussed going into business together that had a focus on serving and helping others. He loves working with Michael and sharing the passion of caring for others.

In his free time, he enjoys thoroughbred horses, golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife Jeanne, children Michael (Kelley) and Kimberly (John), and his granddaughter Gabriella, aka “Gabba.”
