My mother needed an in-home care service after breaking her ankle and requiring surgery. She wanted to try doing her rehab therapy at home, however it was difficult and the caregivers helped me to explain to Mom that until I could have a hospital bed and commode wheelchair delivered, it would be beneficial to be at a rehabilitation facility. They handled this in a very caring and professional manner. Mom agreed to this if she had her caregiver with her. Then Hurricane Milton hit and the facility had to evacuate everyone inland, and her caregiver even stayed with her throughout this scary and upsetting process. I was also at this time, handling everything long distance, and everyone was so helpful. I thank First Light for helping my mother and I through this difficult time, I feel they went above and beyond.
FirstLight has been amazing to work with during a challenging time when we needed some extra help. Sarah and Conrado at the office are extremely helpful and alwaysgo out of their way to meet our needs. The caregivers they sent have been extremely friendly and super helpful They have totally exceeded my expectations with home care.
There are not adequate words to describe the help Dee was for me as she helped to take care of my father in the last months of his life. I didn’t know how he was going to respond to having someone come in to help but after one visit, he was comfortable with her helping him shower, dress, etc. and began looking forward to her coming and their conversations. Dee is such a kind and caring soul. I am eternally grateful for her.
