I have been very fortunate to work with the team at FirstLight Home Care. I know from experience that they dependable, responsible and genuinely care about the clients and families they serve. They are quick to respond to our requests and have excellent follow up for any questions. I didn’t think I was ready for home care until I finally gave it a try with FirstLight. Jennifer helps me in every way and I no longer rely on friends & family for assistance. They are now relieved of the caregiving role and tasks, and I don’t feel guilty for leaning on them for help. Jennifer has been with me daily since January and she is truly a gem. She takes care of so much, from laundry to taking my dog to daycare to chaperoning my showers to styling my hair to putting meals together for me. And more. Hope and Kim are exceptional caregivers to my aunt, who has advanced dementia. They are consistently patient, calm, and attentive, and they respond quickly and appropriately to her needs. Their approach reflects both skill and genuine respect for the person they are caring for.
They also regularly go beyond their primary responsibilities by assisting my mom during quieter periods, offering help and support without being asked. That extra effort has made a meaningful difference for our family and shows their strong sense of responsibility, awareness, and compassion.
I’m an administrator in a 24-hour caregiving facility, so I am very familiar with the demands of this work and what quality care looks like in practice. Hope and Kim meet, and often exceed, those expectations. If it weren’t for the excellent care they provide to my aunt, I would recruit them myself 😆. My 93 year old mother dislocated and fractured her shoulder. After a success operation and a skilled nursing home, a month later she returned home. We selected First Light after numerous recommendations. It’s been almost 6 weeks and the First Light caregivers have been great. Melinda has been a Godsend for my mom. After a hospitalization Mom needed lots more care with everything from feeding to bathing to remembering her meds.
