FirstLight is About People
Home Care is Not a Career, It’s a Calling
We know your first priority when choosing a home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.
Lindsey Combs – Lindsey has been with FirstLight Home Care in Northern CO since right after the doors opened in September of 2015. Lindsey has worked in the health field since she graduated high school. First, she got her CNA license and worked at a local nursing home, where she found a love for the elder community. Shortly after, she was offered a position at Banner health in Greeley at NCMC. Lindsey spent 10+ years working all over the hospital as well as floating to rehab centers, psychiatric care, nearby hospitals for floor care, and staffing these facilities. Lindsey continued to work for Banner all the way through nursing school, where she completed her LPN and EMT certifications. As a native to CO, not only is she the Executive Director of FirstLight, she keeps busy raising her 4 children (Preston, Noah, River and Tymbur) with her husband Adam.
Lacey Bean – Lacey Bean is our HR Director and business partner. From helping to find us qualified caregivers, to creating policy to keep our client’s and caregiver’s safety a priority, Lacey contributes to our team in many ways. Lacey has been working with older adults for nearly the entirety of her career. It all began when she worked at a retail location that catered to baby boomers. Although she’d always loved and got along with her elders well, this was truly the start of her passion for caring for them. After finishing her B.S. in Human Resources Management at Western Kentucky University, Lacey began her professional career working at a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Bowling Green, KY where she gained meaningful and hands on experience. Funnily enough, Lacey left the industry for a stint of 6 months for an opportunity she could not pass up. It was a great role and one she enjoyed, but it did not take long for her to realize that her passion is in the Long-Term Care industry. She returned as quickly as possible and has been working with FirstLight Home Care since 2016. Lacey came to Colorado to fulfill her husband’s (a Colorado native) dream of returning to his homeland. Though she was born and raised closer to the ocean in Florida, she truly loves the mountains and the beauty of nature found along the Front Range.
LaToya Mott – LaToya has been with FirstLight Home Care of Northern Colorado for a little over a year, but she is no stranger to senior or family care. Her journey into championing the lives of others began while still in high school, serving as a youth mentor and volunteering at the school for the Blind in her home state (Missouri). Upon graduation, she began working for the Kansas City Missouri School District as an After-School Art Teacher for grades K – 8th. She truly thought her missions was to work with the youth in her community, however, a turn of events helped guide her path into Senior Care, where she has held various positions and worked with varying acuity and skill levels: Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, Behavioral Health, and now Home Care.
As Director of Business Development, she acts as a conduit, bridging the gap between Northern Colorado residents and the untapped resources within their respective communities. LaToya prides herself on facilitating positive and meaningful interpersonal interactions while educating individuals on their care options. She hopes that her compassionate, knowledgeable, and energetic presence is a comfort to those she assists during their time of need.
Julie Pimple – Here is Julie Pimple, our Scheduling & Staffing Coordinator in the Northern Colorado office. Julie is our most recent addition to the office, starting this position in May of 2020, following 11 months as a caregiver with FirstLight. Her background is in Occupational Therapy, including Director of Therapy in long-term care, with over 21 years of experience. In that time, she has worked with caregivers, CNAs, and other therapies in providing care to clients to promote the ability to keep clients in their home.
Julie states,” I feel that everyone is in charge of their care, no matter what their medical condition is. I enjoy working with caregivers, clients, and their families. I am happy that with this position with FirstLight I am able to do what I enjoy doing.”
