A friend recommended FirstLight Home Care of Glenview, and as I thought about my husband’s eventual coming home and preparing for the new chapter in our lives I realized that she was right. We hired FirstLight Home Care of Glenview the first week after his discharge from rehabilitation.
We had no family in the area to support us so we needed a service in the absence of caregiving family members. FirstLight Home Care of Glenview provided a compassionate sounding board for my emotional distress while I took care of my own health concerns. The caregiver provided excellent care in heating meals for my husband, helping me get him to the dentist, allowing me time off to go grocery shopping or attend a hospital-based healthcare seminar at our library. The caregiver made sure that my husband did his exercises as recommended by the therapists. She even did light housekeeping with me and provided positive communication so that I did not feel alone during this time.
This is why I am giving FirstLight Home Care of Glenview a five-star rating. At a critical time in our lives when so many changes and decisions had to be made, the staff at FirstLight Home Care of Glenview provided the excellent care we needed in order to navigate our lives successfully. I highly recommend hiring them as soon as your loved one returns from the hospital or skilled nursing facility in order to fully benefit from their expertise. -

Specifically Maria LaSalle is exceptionally nice and pleasant to communicate and work with, I … More enjoyed talking to her in person and on the phone and was available when I needed. -
Had interim care for a relative. The help was good and the care givers were friendly. Only draw back was punctuality. -
All the caregivers are top notch! I can go to appointments, run errands, with total peace of mind. That they are looking out for my mother. Well done, guys! -
