There may be other health concerns caused by noise pollution, such as tinnitus.
Researchers from the University of Birmingham, and from the University of Manchester, both in the U.K., along with Unilever, are studying in different research undertakings, the effect of noise on eating and drinking, and in the University of Manchester and Unilever’s study, its effect on the brain’s ability to gauge other senses. In the latter, the study, which included 48 participants, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Food Quality and Preference.
We believe that the ultimate responsibility for what is allowed into one’s body – be it food, drink, or sound from the environments we are in – rests with the ‘person’.
