First Light has been beyond supportive with easily accommodating verbal limits due to Essential Tremor. Genolia who is the home helper is beyond exceptional. I probably shouldn’t brag on her too much because someone else may request her! I couldn’t imagine switching. She supports me with communication, both verbal and written, food preparation is exceptional with her foodanagement experience as well as light housekeeping. Michelle is amazing. She is working with my mother as a companion. I have to hand it to her, Michelle walked into a very tricky situation with my mom in that she is not the most pleasant to work with. Michelle, however, is the most kind and giving person. Michelle washed mom’s hair and made her do her exercises; she handles mom with the utmost professionalism. I’m very grateful for this service, but moreso that they have someone like Michelle working for them.

This 5 star rating is specifically for Ruth Williams. She has been our full-time caregiver for several months, after months and months of having revolving caregivers. I believe the key was needing to have full-time daily care and then the revolving door of caregivers stopped. Ruth had the skill sets necessary to attend to our needs. She was/is prompt, willing to do what needs to be done, helped with exercises, attended to our cats’ needs, did household jobs which made my life easier (I work full-time) along with and most importantly interacted with my husband with respect and light-heartedness. Her first concern each day was him. When she leaves each day, she calls me to let me know she is leaving and gives me an update on what she has done during the day and how my husband is. Ruth made our collective lives much easier and I am very thankful that she became our caregiver.

I used Firstlight home care following a surgery. The operation was very friendly and efficient. The caregivers were pleasant, helpful, timely and supportive. They were all good but one just stood out. Monica Swayzer was exceptional. She did not wit to be asked, she looked around and anticipated our needs. She was always looking for something else to do. Yet she was never intrusive or in the way. I highly recommend this service.

My caregiver is Brittany R. She comes straight in and goes to work with cleaning, taking trash out, vacuum, mop, Personal care, helps with pets, runs errands, take me to the doctors, grocerie shops, waters plants sets up medical supplies to last a week and ect. For me as a Person who is disabled and in scooter I am vert thankful for the help from Brittany and first light home care.
Our caregiver, Lexis, from First Light has been with us for over a year. She is first class. Always does a great job for us, is easy to get along with, and very thorough. We love her.
Laura has been the largest delightful addition to our lives. She embodies ‘Going Above & Beyond’. She takes an honest interest in my father, David Blake’s, life, concerns, and preferences. She has brought my father out of his reserved shell. She is instrumental in getting Dad out on the town and to doctor appointments. It is rare that our comfort levels allow for advocating these tasks. Laura is kind, soft-spoken, and thoughtful. She is 100% and always consistently competent.
I was skeptical beginning care because I had bad experiences with other agencies but after having surgery I knew I needed help, fortunately, they gave me Eleanor. She arrives early to every shift, with a positive attitude and a willingness to help me with anything. I never felt like a “client”, she treated me like a friend with love and empathy. She goes above and beyond, like taking my dog on long walks, I don’t have to remind her to do things, she created a schedule for me to follow for my medications as well as her own cleaning schedule that she maintained perfectly. I am thankful for all she does, and helps me physically and emotionally.
My sister Kathy and I would like to start out thanking Andrew who was great to work with pertaining to anything financial, Karen and Shelby were wonderful with the whole process of finding the perfect person to take care of our mother and we would also like to thank our mother’s caregiver, Ruth. Our mother really enjoyed having Ruth who not only cared for her but she also sat and listened to her. We never worried about leaving her to run any errands. We feel very comfortable recommending FirstLight to anyone looking for a company to provide great home care for their loved one. First Light works hard to make sure my brother has the care he needs. Goes above and beyond to make sure his shifts are covered. His care giver Sharon Harrington picks up any shifts she can to make sure my brother is taken care of. Her infectious energy always makes her time with us such a joy.
My home caregiver, Kendra, has been a wonderful help to me. She gets here on time and immediately starts to work on her basic routine of what she knows I need done. She does an excellent job, and goes above and beyond by doing whatever else she sees that needs to be done.

First Light Home Care has been a blessing for me! I needed help around the house and someone to cook my food for me and they have found somebody who does just that. In fact, they found several people who will help me out. My last person found another job somewhere else, so I got temporaries until they found Zae who is my current person. She’s wonderful and does things as I tell her to do them.
