Starting a FirstLight Home Care business allows me to get back to what I love: serving others. After spending the last 25 years in the healthcare world in both clinical and administrative roles, I have witnessed firsthand the value of having a caregiver in the home for individuals and the people who love them. I believe nothing is more powerful and unique than developing a relationship while caring for and supporting someone in the place they call home.
Home care takes place in someone’s sanctuary and warrants a tremendous amount of trust and respect. As caregivers, we have the honor of serving individuals so they can remain at home while they recover from an injury or illness, as they cope with a chronic condition, or as they approach the end of their lives. I want our caregivers to make a difference in our client’s quality of life and the communities we serve.
Opening a FirstLight Home Care office in this area has given me the opportunity to come back “home” to serve the community that has given so much to our family over the last decade. We raised our children in the Lake, Sumter, and Marion Counties area and have family members and good friends who call this area home. Making a difference in people’s lives has always been my calling. After pursuing career opportunities out of the area, we decided to move back to the community so I could do just that. It would be an honor if you allow us to serve you and your family.
