So the search for an at-home care giver company started. … More When we came upon FirstLight, and I spoke with Amie, I knew it was the "one".
From the very first conversation, Amie made us feel comfortable and secure. Giving up part of the responsibility to care for a parent is not easy – and can be quite stressful. Amie, and the entire crew, made the process simple, easy and immediately garnered trust from us. The team at the office was receptive to coordinating our needs. The team on-site was, in a word, amazing. Each and every one of the aides was thoughtful, attentive, caring and authentic. They actually cared for my mom, as a person, not just a "client".
While we only utilized them for a short few weeks before her condition progressed more and led to the need of a inpatient facility, FirstLight gave her comfort and dignity during that time in her own home. For that, I am forever grateful to the entire team. I cannot speak enough of them and the way they handled our needs. They brought peace of mind to me in helping to provide for my mom. They brought comfort and dignity to her in handling her concerns. They were phenomenal in all ways. -

I can't say enough positive things about Amie Deak. She's not only professional, honest, and efficient, but she's compassionate, empathetic, and driven to meet your needs. She worked hard to create a caregiving schedule that worked for us with caregivers who would be the best fit.
The caregivers at FirstLight are top notch (and if they don't quite meet expectations, Amie handles it swiftly and with transparency). In addition to providing the care and assistance required, they're friendly, caring, and help keep your house in order (often anticipating your needs before you even have to ask).

From the very first conversation, Amie made us feel comfortable and secure. Giving up part of the responsibility to care for a parent is not easy – and can be quite stressful. Amie, and the entire crew, made the process simple, easy and immediately garnered trust from us. The team at the office was receptive to coordinating our needs. The team on-site was, in a word, amazing. Each and every one of the aides was thoughtful, attentive, caring and authentic. They actually cared for my mom, as a person, not just a "client".
While we only utilized them for a short few weeks before her condition progressed more and led to the need of a inpatient facility, FirstLight gave her comfort and dignity during that time in her own home. For that, I am forever grateful to the entire team. I cannot speak enough of them and the way they handled our needs. They brought peace of mind to me in helping to provide for my mom. Clea is the most compassionate understanding caring giving individual we have ever met in our lives. She just doesn’t take care of my husband, but she also takes care of me both of us 100%. We have been utilizing home health services for my father close to a year now with First Light. We are very happy with our caregiver team including Joanna and Heidi. Joanna constantly goes above and beyond to care for my father and communicate with us to better improve his life. I can’t speak highly enough of her. Heidi is always kind and considerate of my father’s needs and shows compassion when he has difficult days. Lastly, we are thankful for the check-ins we receive from the manager Tami on a regular basis making sure all of my father’s needs are met and we are happy with the caregiver services he receives. All in all, they make life a little easier taking care of an aging parent at home and we are very thankful for the help.

First Light Home Care has been taking care of my husband for the past 2 years. The staff provides great service and care. The office personnel at our local office and the corporate location in South Carolina have been so helpful and caring to all our family including our dog Teddy Bear.
