Finding the “right” caregivers for our Loved One proved to be a challenge as we discovered while doing our due diligence in this regard. By the time we were referred to FirstLight our expectations were lukewarm at best. However, after visiting with Mr Al Essuman who visited our home to conduct an assessment of our family member we felt hopeful we were interviewing the right providers. Mr Essuman outlined their services and spoke highly of their employees. Upon our request he provided us with résumé’s of several of their caregivers even recommending one he thought would be an ideal fit for our situation. Based upon our prior experiences we inquired as to the possibility of a “trial run” prior to entering into an agreement with their company. Mr Essuman agreed and to say that their employee met the standards he had spoken to us about would be n understatement. We were very impressed with the skill level, patience and bedside manner of Mary who is very passionate about her job. If the balance of their staff have similar training and demeanor ( which Al indicated they did), in our opinion you could not go wrong choosing FirstLight to care for you Loved One.
We have been using FirstLight caregivers for a couple of months now for my MIL after she had a fall and broke her hip. Al and Alicia have bent over backwards helping us with 24/7 assistance and the caregivers they have sent have been wonderful! FirstLight is truly a God send. From the time that they came to my home to do an assessment of my needs for the care of my mom I have felt comfortable. Their communication and professionalism allows me to be at ease and has removed the stress of worrying about my mom’s care. Our caregiver is absolutely amazing. She is knowledgeable about caring for elderly patients with health limitations. She is professional, punctual, caring, and attentive to my mom. Everyday she logs my mom’s daily actions, vitals and activity. I love that she feels comfortable communicating with me regarding the needs and goals for my mom.
