I have used FirstLight service, successfully, for about 7 months. During that time quite a long list of caregivers have. cycled through: some more helpful, reliable and compatible, than others. Ellen has been quick to provide a substitute when there was friction in some way. I know she is always available if I have any questions, and. willing to come by if need be, to work things out. She is open and responsive. FirstLight caregivers provide me with transportation to appointments, and shopping: even actually DOING the shopping if asked. I am satisfied with this flexible service, and expect to stay with FirstLight into the future.

Ellen, the owner of Firstlight Home Care of Mission Viejo, thinks for patients a lot. She immediately came to visit me after I expressed that I am looking for caregivers for my upcoming surgery.
Based on her professional experiences, she gives me good suggestions on what I should prepare for the recovery such as sturdy shower bench, walker, power lift chair, etc, which proved very helpful in my later recovery time.
Ellen tries to provide the best suitable caregivers for the patients. She drove 50 miles to the hospital to see me and to access what kind of care I need. For the initial recovery periods after I’m discharged, she sent caregivers who are nursing school students, and those students were able to provide cares that ordinarily caregivers can not.
Ellen is also a learner. She learns certain skills first then train the caregivers. Whenever there’s a new employee comes to my home, even the shift starts at midnight, Ellen will come to introduce them to me, and train them.
I’d give Ellen and her company’s services a five star rating and refer them to the needed person.

Ellen and her team at FirstLight Home Care continue to provide outstanding care to our elderly mom in the comfort of her own home. Because of their fantastic carefree (for the last 6 months), our mom is able to remain in the place that she wants to call home, which is where she has lived for 25 years! Ellen helps us with reliable, 7 day per week oversight that assures us that the proper medicines have been taken, eye drops given and compression socks are in place. We also have documentation of daily blood pressure, and that information is sent to me daily so that I can easily follow it. Our mom is healthier now, more stable, and we have the reassurance from daily visits and information updates every day of the week. We couldn’t ask for more! Ellen and her team at First Light Home Care are Highly recommended! 5 stars for sure!!!!!
Firstlight has been providing caregivers to us since June of this year, when my husband was discharged from a health facility. He has Parkinson’s and limited mobility. The caregivers have all been very good, conscientious, on time, respectful and clean. He has had one caregiver for the past 3 months, Donny, who is quite knowledgeable, and helps him with speech and mobility exercises, in addition to providing personal care. The owners manage the business very well, and are responsive.
I hired FirstLight Home Care of Mission Viejo to provide weekly caregiving for me during chemotherapy treatments for 6 weeks.
I never thought I would need any assistance because I’m the kind of person that can take care of myself independently; I was wrong! I humbly accepted their help & assistance! I’m glad I did! Chemotherapy treatments sucks the energy & life out of me.
My Caregivers, Bennie & Tin were very attentive to my physical, emotional, & mental needs each day I was under their care.
They drove me back home from the clinic after my treatments, helped me pick up groceries and put them away. They took me to restaurants to have meals & coffee ( we had a great time enjoying food, conversation, & laughter). They kept me safe, comfortable & peaceful under their care.
The Best part of this caregiving experience is that I developed lasting friendships & companionships with them… I’ll never forget their LOVE & KINDNESS.

During September ,my husband has health crisis, Ellen came to visit us immediately. She diagnosis our problems, dispatch capable caregivers , she also check the safety of our house, especially the bathroom, she also check our diet, make good suggestions. Her staff and caregivers are well-trained, and well-informed, we have good experience with Ellen’s company.

I am very thankful to find FirstLight Home Care Service in Mission Viejo when my wife felt sick and we urgently needed help. Ellen visited our home the next day after the call. She very carefully listened to our needs, and thoroughly explained to us how aging seniors could get helps from FistLight caregivers with happiness, compassions and peace of mind.
FirstLight always put elderly’s health, safety and their livelihood as the highest priority in their agendas. They kindly arranged installing grab bars in our baths and stairway, buying back braces and other resources to safe guard the elderly’s. Even helping us to buy or rent hospital beds as needed.
Hannah and Ja-Mei were both very kind and diligent caregivers from FirstLight. My wife is very grateful to have them helping in her recovery.
