Find Senior Care Services Throughout Southeast Georgia
Including Brunswick, St Marys, St Simons
We know your first priority when choosing a home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.
When choosing the right person to take care of your loved one, the FirstLight Home Care of Southeast Georgia team knows this is a decision that families don’t and shouldn’t take lightly. Families deserve to know that their loved ones are being taken care of with the same care and compassion that they, themselves, would provide to their loved ones. That is exactly why Eric Friedrich and Mary Ellyse Fendig decided to join the non-medical home care community… to do just that. Both natives of St. Simons Island, Eric has partnered with Mary Ellyse Fendig to share a passion and love for Coastal Georgia and its seniors that is carried out in every aspect of FirstLight Home Care of Southeast Georgia.
St. Simons native Eric W. Friedrich ll is a graduate of The University of Georgia where he received a Bachelors in Business Management from the Terry College of Business. After College, Eric served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force for 6 years before separating from active duty in 2014 to take on the challenges of opening his own business. Today, Eric still proudly serves as an intelligence officer in the Air Force Reserves.
Mary Ellyse Fendig, Care Coordinator for First Light Home Care of Southeast GA, works tirelessly to ensure a lasting client impact only achieved by compassion, energy, determination and judgment, especially when caring for loved ones. A graduate in biology, chemistry and medical ethics from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s student with the University of Southern California, she has had a life-long interest in science and has chosen to dedicate her life to the humanitarian side of home health care.
Mary Ellyse’s favorite thing to do in her free time is paint. Her passion in art and health led to her work as a board member of Healing Icons, a non-profit dedicated to teaching art classes to cancer survivors in hospitals. She currently teaches classes for Assisted Living residents and caregivers free of charge.
Also a St. Simons native, her family has dedicated much time and effort to the community of Southeast GA and she is excited to show support by helping preserve the lifestyle of elders so they can remain independent in their home.
Our home care team is passionate about bringing a new level of service to the in-home care industry of Southeast GA. Many people we encounter are unaware of their options and the resources that are available to them today. We want to be a community resource bringing FirstLight’s exceptional care to our area.
Eric and Mary Ellyse bring a wealth of experience managing and delivering on time, as promised. Through FirstLight’s Culture of Care, commitment to training and the equipping of our caregivers, we’re proud to offer Excpetional Care through our Extraordinary People.
