Our caregivers can visit to talk, sit, or share a cup of coffee can be what they look forward to all week. And having something to look forward to can be the thing that keeps them going.
Our caregivers are not able to administer medications, but they can provide reminders to your loved one to take their pre-filled pills or other medications. (We can also provide medication dispensers as part of our innovative healthcare technology services.)
Good nutrition is so important for all-around well-being, especially for older adults who take multiple medications. Often, seniors don’t get all the nutrition they need, because they don’t feel like cooking for just themselves, or it is too difficult. FirstLight caregivers will prepare healthy and balanced meals for your loved one, including all of the clean up!
At FirstLight Home Care, we know that a clean and tidy environment is important to your loved one’s overall well-being. Our caregivers can perform light housekeeping of bathrooms and kitchens, dusting, laundry, vacuuming, trash removal, and can even help clean and tidy drawers and closets.
Laundry can be a taxing chore, especially for elderly individuals, and the task puts them at risk for falls and injury. Our caregivers will do your family member’s laundry from start to finish, including folding, ironing, and putting away.
Shopping, Errands, and Transportation
When your older loved one is no longer able to drive, they may feel isolated and frustrated that they can’t go to their favorite grocery store or run a quick errand like they used to. FirstLight caregivers can grocery shop or run errands for your loved one, or they can accompany your loved one if they prefer to shop for themselves, or even take them on social outings.

Mail and Paperwork Organization
Our caregivers can help to keep your loved one’s mail and paperwork organized. They are also able to assist your loved one to open and read mail, if given permission from you.
FirstLight Home Care is able to accommodate live-in caregivers in specific situations. If you and your loved one prefer that a caregiver resides with them, we can arrange it either temporarily or on a permanent basis. We are able to install personal emergency response service devices with Client Care Access, our Web-based care monitoring tool. Family Respite Care

We recognize the importance of providing support to our client’s family too. Our in home respite services allow our client’s primary caregiver to take the time they need to care for themselves. Being a primary caregiver is stressful. Our respite services help to alleviate some of that stress.
