Stacey Mora, Psy.D., Director of Client Care

As Director of Client Care at FirstLight Home Care, Stacey is often the first person families meet when they begin exploring care for someone they love. Every conversation starts the same way: with listening — with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand what matters most.

Stacey earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology–Los Angeles in 1998, with specialized training in individuals, children, and families. That training still shapes how she listens and builds care plans around what each client — and their whole family — truly needs.

This work is deeply personal to Stacey. Her father, who lived with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) for more than 23 years, was her hero, and walking that “long goodbye” alongside him taught her both the weight and the privilege of caring for someone you love. Years later, when her own mother faced unexpected health issues, Stacey saw Home Care from the other side — and FirstLight’s caregivers gave her something she still treasures: the chance to simply be a daughter again, instead of a caregiver. That experience confirmed what she’d always sensed — her calling was walking alongside families through life’s hardest seasons.

Outside of work, Stacey treasures the relationships that matter most. She and Chad continue to build a life together centered on family, meaningful traditions, and adventure. That might mean TJ Maxx afternoons with her Mom, time with Chad’s parents, or exploring the Pacific Northwest, including their favorite place to return to, Nelson, British Columbia. She also loves celebrating the people she loves, finding just the right gift or pulling together a gift basket full of little touches. And at the end of the day, you’ll find her curled up on the couch with Chad and their golden retriever, Walter — Netflix on, Walter’s tail going, and home feeling exactly like it should.

Brad Leggat, Co-Owner, Chief Relationship Officer

Brad Leggat is the co-owner and Chief Relationship Officer of FirstLight Home Care of Spokane & Coeur d’Alene, where he is passionate about building relationships, serving families, and helping older adults remain safe, independent, and connected in the place they call home.

Brad’s passion for home care is deeply personal. After experiencing firsthand the challenges of caring for both his Veteran father and his mother, he developed a profound appreciation for the difference compassionate, dependable caregivers can make in the lives of families. That experience continues to shape his leadership and his commitment to ensuring every client receives personalized, dignified, and relationship-centered care.

Prior to FirstLight Home Care, Brad founded and operated a successful insurance agency in Hayden, Idaho. His entrepreneurial leadership earned him recognition as one of the North Idaho Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” professionals.

Brad earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Sales from Weber State University, where he played quarterback and developed many of the leadership principles that continue to guide him today. It was also at Weber State where he met his wife, Jenna, a Hayden Lake native and former Weber State volleyball player. Together they have been happily married for 20 years and are raising their three children: Van, Phoebe, and Grey.

Outside of FirstLight, Brad enjoys giving back to the community through coaching youth sports, participating in local charitable events, and staying active with CrossFit. In 2026, he was honored to be crowned Mr. North Idaho during a community fundraising event that helped raise thousands of dollars for local nonprofit organizations—an experience that perfectly reflected his passion for serving others and strengthening the community he loves.

Brad is especially passionate about helping families navigate the aging journey. He has helped FirstLight expand innovative resources for seniors, including programs that support individuals living with dementia and the family caregivers who care for them. Whether meeting with healthcare professionals, community partners, or families searching for answers, Brad believes every interaction is an opportunity to make someone’s day a little easier and a little brighter.

Above all, Brad believes exceptional home care begins with genuine relationships. His mission is simple: treat every client like family, serve with compassion, and leave every person better than you found them.

Jennifer Vest, Billing & Payroll Specialist

Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing and Information Design from Brigham Young University in 1999. Throughout her career, she has held many jobs using the organizational skills she learned as a Technical Writer. Her passion lies in designing information, and has used those skills in both volunteer work, and her career. One of her greatest achievements was helping open Hayden Canyon Charter as a member of their founding board. More recently, she assisted in writing and promoting a book called “rePURPOSE Your Mind.” In January of 2021 she wanted a job where she could give back to the community, so she joined the FirstLight team as a caregiver.  Three month’s later she joined the office as the scheduler, working in that capacity for 2 years. In 2023 she was given the opportunity to go back to part time work for the office managing billing and payroll.

Jennifer is married to Jason and has 2 adult children, Robyn and Lawson. Her family also has ten “adopted” Foreign Exchange Students, including: Oline from Norway, Nemo from Taiwan, Marco, Daniele and Emma from Italy, Cedric from Switzerland, Lois from the Netherlands, Raphael from France, and Vincent and Nora from Germany.  In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, digital scrapbooking, knitting, hiking, camping, frisbee golf, and traveling.

Kim Burt, Care Coordinator

As FirstLight Home Care’s Care Coordinator, Kim plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care. From the very first call, she is the warm, caring voice clients can count on, providing consistent follow-through so families feel supported throughout their entire journey with FirstLight. In addition to guiding client care, Kim also manages important administrative duties, keeps the office organized, and coordinates assessments to help ensure every detail runs smoothly.

Kim’s career path has always centered on supporting others and keeping operations running smoothly.

After graduating from Carrington College in 2007, she worked as a Dental Assistant in multiple pediatric dental offices. When she wasn’t cleaning teeth, she worked as a nanny for a wonderful family for almost 10 years until she started having kids of her own. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Kim has called Coeur d’Alene home since 2003.

She and her husband Ben are about to celebrate 18 years of marriage! They stay busy juggling the busy schedules of their 3 kids Brayden (13) Avery (11) and Nora (8).

Outside of work, Kim enjoys baking, thrifting, spending time with her sister, and adventuring with her husband and children.

Fun fact, in 2022, Kim turned her creative passion for photography into a thriving business, capturing everything from professional headshots, families and her personal favorite – Senior portraits. This is a pursuit in which she still continues part-time.
