I would recommend FirstLight Home Care. They are very thorough and hire care givers that are kind and helpful. The process to start is a bit overwhelming, especially getting the home ready and safe… but after that step is completed it becomes “easier.” The hourly cost for care giving is a bit steep… and there are no discounts… you also have to pay time and a half for holidays… but I believe you get what you pay for… which is punctuality and trustworthy care. When you receive your weekly invoice, it is imperative that you check it so you do not get over charged for the amount of hours you received care for your loved one. As long as you go in knowing those conditions, it will be smooth sailing!! Getting trustworthy humans to care for your elderly family members is stressful and Julio helps you through it… he is always available to help you and your family whenever you have questions or concerns.
My brother and I were at a point in our lives where we needed additional care and support for our mother. It was a difficult process, not knowing where to go or where to turn. Today I had the pleasure of interacting with the staff at First light home care. I was there on a business matter and it was very pleasant to witness how they treated their clients. I first met Julio who was very professional, attentive and helpful with my questions. He was courteous when explaining what I needed to do and checked in on me to ensure I was not having any issues. I then met Mario who was very friendly and made you feel welcomed and at ease. The rest of the staff were equally nice and attentive, always with a smile on their face.

They truly care about my mom, and provide such gentle care. They follow her care itinerary to the letter and are so patient with her needs.
They give you all the tools (great online software to manage your loved one’s care) and support that we appreciate. They even gave us support group information for family caregivers so that you can connect with others in your situation.
