First Light provided reliable and caring support through our final week's with my sister before she passed away. Taylor, our contact person was always available and proactive in making sure that my sister's needs were met. Because … More my none of us lived near my sister it was important to have reliable care and communication. Taylor consistently communicated in a compassionate and caring manner.
The care giver, Charity, who came to care for my sister in what turned out to be her final 3 days was an angel sent from above. She was completely committed to caring for my sister with compassion and positivity. She tended to my sister's needs and never left her side in those 3 days. But, more than that she also tended to her soul with love and wisdom, helping my sister to connect with family and friends who were not able to be present. Charity communicated with me every step of the way and impressing on those of us who were able to come that my sister's time left was short, so that we were able to get there before she passed. No one knew how short her time was. We all thought she would have another couple weeks. including the hospice doctor. But, Charity sensed that it was urgent for us to come. Because of Charity, my sister's final days were filled with love and care and my brother and I were able to visit with my sister before she departed. I will be forever grateful to her for all that she did for my sister and our family❣️ -

When I tell you that FirstLight has high level care, it’s not lip service or an exaggeration. … More My mother had spinal stenosis surgery a few years ago and has been in need of professional care. That means the type of care loved ones cannot provide because they lack the proper knowledge, training and experience required for the betterment of the person in need.
FirstLight was my first call based on online reviews and after I hung up with the owner, Chelsea, I felt cautiously optimistic they could help my Mom. I’m sure Chelsea had better things to do on a Saturday, but she suggested visiting on the weekend to my parents home and met with us for about an hour or two. We appreciated that she took time away from her Saturday to help guide us through this process.
Taylor has also been very instrumental in helping us with getting the right care giver in place. We now have Cinthia watching over my mom and she’s been excellent! Whenever I show up at my parent’s house, she is always keeping herself busy. She is a self starter for sure!
Bottom line, if you’re worried the home care company you are considering for hire will treat your relative or loved like he or she is the last priority, you might want to make FirstLight your first phone call. I did that and my Mom is happy! -

My mother was in the final stages of her battle with cancer, and while it was obviously very emotional, it was also highly unpredictable In terms of how much help we would need and the ability to provide … More notice on the changes happening on a daily basis. Taylor was extremely flexible with scheduling to provide care however needed, and also very compassionate every step of the way. Our scheduled caretaker Myah was also extremely loving and kind to my mother. Although she actually only had one day with her before my mother quickly declined, I know that even that brief interaction was very helpful and appreciated. She provided companionship and love, as well as the quality of caretaking my mom desperately needed in her final days. I am so grateful for this team and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality caretaker for their loved ones who genuinely cares about their wellbeing and is willing to get outside the box however necessary.

I have a very dear friend who used FirstLight for her husband up until the day he passed. The care that he received was TOP notch, but what … More stood out the most in all that I witnessed was the professionalism and compassion that each caregiver brought, every time they came through the door. This took an enormous amount of pressure off during one of the hardest times of my friend’s life and helped lighten her load.
The entire staff, caregivers and office, were able to take some of the burden away which enabled her to just love her husband.
I will always recommend FirstLight to anyone who is in need of care, whether it be help with housework or shopping, errands or complete care for a loved one.

Caring … More for a loved one with Dementia is heart wrenching, stressful, exhausting, confusing, crazy-making, upsetting…… you feel lost in a sea of information, or lack of information and you try desperately to make good choices, but not all those choices around care facilities in particular manifest the way you had hoped. The facility that I selected did not turn out to be able to provide the care my mother needed. I was frantic trying to keep her safe, properly fed, calm and so importantly, provided with her medications at the right time – and then I found First Light. Honestly, I call them my angels – the care, compassion and communication is beyond anything I have found and I have had to work with private care providers over the years in different setting and states (including California). The care we were provided by First Light was life changing for both my mother and me. They helped me keep my mother safe and properly cared for while I took the time to find the right facility for her. Thank you First Light – you are my angels. -

I appreciated the time and care that he gave me. I was assigned to Marisha that showed up on time and was a delight. My procedure took longer than I had anticipated and Marisha was flexible and waiting patiently to drive me home. I will definitely use FirstLight in the future and strongly recommend them! -

Caring … More for a loved one with Dementia is heart wrenching, stressful, exhausting, confusing, crazy-making, upsetting…… you feel lost in a sea of information, or lack of information and you try desperately to make good choices, but not all those choices around care facilities in particular manifest the way you had hoped. The facility that I selected did not turn out to be able to provide the care my mother needed. I was frantic trying to keep her safe, properly fed, calm and so importantly, provided with her medications at the right time – and then I found First Light. Honestly, I call them my angels – the care, compassion and communication is beyond anything I have found and I have had to work with private care providers over the years in different setting and states (including California). The care we were provided by First Light was life changing for both my mother and me. They helped me keep my mother safe and properly cared for while I took the time to find the right facility for her. Thank you First Light – you are my angels. -

The caregivers were personable and capable and assisted my wife & me in caring for my sister in her Phoenix home until her final days.
