Jason’s journey to FirstLight Home Care began as a business owner in Oregon, and later shifted to hospitality management in the Bay Area, with a focus on service excellence. He always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but his interest piqued in the last few years as he struggled to find exceptional care for his own aging parents. With his desire to pursue a life-long dream of caring for others, he found inspiration in FirstLight Home Care’s mission of providing nurturing, compassionate care and service excellence to those in need.

With over thirty years of business modeling, strategy, and daily operational experience, Jason is excited about the opportunity to apply his background and knowledge to a field where people’s well-being is the foremost goal. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Jason has a B.A. in Management from San Diego State University. When not focusing on your family, Jason is taking care of his own two sons, ages 14 and 21. While they have easily surpassed their father in height and speed, integrity and empathy remain an integral family trait that is evenly matched by all three.

Molly’s journey to FirstLight Home Care began in advertising, supporting Bay Area businesses, hospitals, and public institutions recruit and retain the best staff. She experienced first-hand the importance that a clear vision has on an organization’s ability to deliver unparalleled service. The FirstLight Home Care “Culture of Care” and “7-Touch Point” standard for all clients strongly resonated with her, motivating her to join this best in class organization.

Molly brings twenty years of operational experience in both advertising and food service, with over ten years in business development and management. Originally from San Diego, Molly has a B.S. in International Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as well as an A.S. in Culinary Arts from the CCA in San Francisco. While Molly still loves to cook in her own kitchen, she is looking forward to learning about your family’s recipes…and maybe even surprising you with a meal she prepares especially for you.

 

Amy Ward, Hospice Care Consultant

Amy Ward, Hospice Care Consultant

Amy’s role with FirstLight Home Care Silicon Valley as a consulting hospice nurse encompasses caregiver training, client consultation, and industry-related education. Understanding that the caregiver’s role in a hospice environment is a niche not all caregivers can fill; Amy supports to screen, train, and coach those who choose to partner with our industry and home clients in this special calling. It is FirstLight Silicon Valley’s commitment to ensuring the necessary level of compassion, empathy and understanding of how hospice work can unfold that lead us to forging this specific partnership.

Amy’s career spans 20 years in a hospice, nursing and home care environment. She has worked with Seasons Hospice and Pallative Care, Apreva, and Vitas. In addition to working first hand originally as a caregiver for many years, her career also involves marketing, communication and oversight between facilities and partner organizations.
