I have used many, many home caregiver agencies in the past 10 years for my elderly mom. In my opinion, David and Ruth, the owners of FirstLight of Sunnyvale, are true gems of the industry. These two are good with clients, good with client's … More family, run a well-organized business (billing, invoicing, scheduling, etc.), and hire excellent caregivers.
David and Ruth are caring and diligent, and they work hard to make sure clients are matched with the right caregiver. That's important because it has to be a good fit or it doesn't work because you'll have frustration on both sides.
My mom is in her 90s and not the easiest person to care for. She needs a lot of help, with oxygen, wheelchair, bathroom, dressing, shopping, and driving to appointments and family events. She has chronic pain, dementia, severe hearing loss, and a speech disability that makes her hard to understand. Even with all that, FirstLight met and exceeded all expectations. -
