Local Resident Opens FirstLight Home Care in Waukesha County
BROOKFIELD, Wis. (Dec. 14, 2015) — FirstLight Home Care, provider of quality, affordable, non-medical in-home care for adults, has now opened its first location in Wisconsin. It is owned by local residents David and Banessa Treis.
FirstLight Home Care offers complete companion and personal care services for seniors, new mothers, those recovering from surgery and others in need of assistance. Services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, transportation and accompaniment to doctors’ appointments, personal care and any other services that help the people we serve stay comfortable in their own homes.
FirstLight Home Care is based out of Brookfield and will serve residents throughout Waukesha and Milwaukee counties. Treis said his enthusiasm and passion to provide this service is based on his personal experience caring for his father.
“I saw an opportunity to provide a better solution to families in crisis after having to coordinate and care for my father for six years,” he said.
From his experiences, Treis knows that non-medical, in-home care provides a variety of services that many people don’t realize are available, but these services can have a significant impact on the quality life of seniors and those recovering from surgery.
“Helping adult sons and daughters care for their parents can be a tremendous relief, and that’s the difference we want to make in people’s lives and in the community,” Treis said.
