New Cornerstone CMO Draws on Franchise Marketing Past to Lead FirstLight

Anne Mejia, who recently became the chief marketing officer of Cornerstone Brands, owner of FirstLight Home Care and Surv, brings more than 25 years of marketing experience to her new role — much of it in the restaurant industry. Prior to Cornerstone, she led marketing efforts at such firms as Jack in the Box, CKE Restaurants and ServiceMaster.

But whether it is overseeing marketing for home care or restaurants, there are certain franchising commonalities, she explained. Among these are: The importance of listening to and supporting franchisees who know their own marketplaces. She talked to McKnight’s Home Care Daily Pulse about how her past experiences will inform her current role, her personal connection to home care and her marketing strategy plans for Cornerstone.
