Carter Jons - Owner / Managing Director
Carter Jons is devoted to his community. He is the one who likes to bring people together – to make sure this friend gets to know this other friend and make sure they are always smiling.
He was known as Mr. Carter as an elementary teacher for 10 years in the US and abroad. He knows there are many people out there who still remember him as their favorite teacher, whether it is because of his humor, his commitment to meeting students where they were, or because of his caring and positive demeanor. He was also involved in various roles in the family paper and packaging distribution business spending many long days with the customer service, sales, supply chain, operations and warehouse teams. He then was a software consultant and project manager helping companies implement and optimize their ERP systems.
After watching his father slip into dementia over the last 10 years, he re-evaluated his place in the community. His father, who is German and lived the American dream by immigrating to the U.S., studying at M.I.T. and working as a naval architect / marine engineer designing boats for the Navy. Carter made the decision to give back, to have a higher purpose and return to a place where he could form meaningful relationships and bring joy every day. As the Owner of FirstLight Home Care of Boise, he is committed to offering a higher level of care.
Carter is married to his lovely wife Ashley and they have 2 wonderful kids – Oscar and Coco. He loves to be outside – mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, camping, fishing, golfing and all the fun things that make Idaho such a special place.
