FirstLight Home Care Expands Non-Medical Home Care Services to Edmond

Local senior care advocates continue to meet growing demand for caregiving services

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – January 28, 2021 – FirstLight® Home Care of Central Oklahoma City has expanded, bringing its non-medical home care services to Edmond and neighboring communities. Owners Tim and Natalia Smith are pleased to announce the growth of their business, now providing companion and personal caregiving services to clients in Oklahoma City, Edmond and the surrounding areas.

FirstLight Home Care of Oklahoma City and Edmond delivers non-medical home care services to people who need companionship and help at home, including seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities and those recovering from illness, injury or surgery. Highly trained FirstLight caregivers help with many needs, from household tasks, meal preparation and transportation to personal care services like bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.

“It’s a privilege to serve those in need of care and support by helping them maintain their dignity and independence,” stated Tim Smith. “Home care is incredibly essential, especially now. Allowing aging seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities and others to live safely and comfortably in the place they call home, while improving their quality of life, is what inspires us every day.”

Tim and Natalia are extremely connected to their community. Since starting their FirstLight Home Care business, the Smiths have been honored to volunteer at their local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, including facilitating support groups for caregivers and joining the fight in other ways, such as participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.

Tim and Natalia also have a passion for serving one of the area’s most important senior populations: veterans. By partnering with the Oklahoma City VA, FirstLight Home Care currently serves many veterans across Oklahoma. Tim added, “Veterans have sacrificed so much to serve and protect our country. We are honored with this opportunity to pay them back.”
