Nov. 4, 2015 – U.S. Army veteran Tim Mackin was working as a consultant at a major national firm when his 80-year-old mother-in-law moved into his family’s Springettsbury Township home and was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Mackin spent a lot of time taking care of her, he said, and witnessed firsthand how happy she was constantly surrounded by loved ones. Soon after his mother-in-law’s passing, Mackin resigned from his consulting position and looked to open a home care office in the hopes of bringing that same happiness to others in the York community.
