Downsizing and Decluttering your Home: A Free Program

Relocating to a smaller house or condo? Looking to remove clutter and enjoy your current space?  A free, objective and educational seminar will provide some insight and tips on downsizing and decluttering. The workshop will be led by Anne Sharp, a Professional Organizer and Owner of ‘a sharp space’ based in Winchester, MA.

Anne is in her third year of business, having spent the two previous years learning about organizational products and closet design.  She has a background in change management consulting and recently completed Life Transitions Certification through the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals.  She works with busy professionals, seniors and families to help them make the best use of the space they have.

The seminar will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the education and training center of FirstLight Home Care of West Suburban Boston, 109 – 123  Highland Avenue, Suite 301, Needham, MA 02494 (directly across from Panera Bread and next door to Petco).

There is ample, free parking both in the front and rear of the office building. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Imagine. What small steps could you take to feel less stressed and more productive in your everyday life, both at home and at work? Learn more about how being organized can help you find more space, more time and more joy in your life.   And bring your organizing questions and challenges!

Topics will include how to get started and create decluttering momentum, what to gift to friends and family, how to separate the throw or go piles, options for selling unwanted items and alternatives for donating to non-profit organizations.

The session will be augmented by Wendy Adlerstein, LSW, who has more than 20 years of experience in working with seniors. She holds a B.A. from Clark University, in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology and Human Services. In addition to her Massachusetts License in Social Work, Wendy holds a Certificate in Gerontology from the Worcester Consortium Gerontology Program.

She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA), formerly the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.  Finally, Wendy is a Certified Dementia Practitioner® in good standing from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.

This interactive presentation encourages participants to ask questions and provide their own anecdotes.  Please RSVP to the free program at the Eventbrite page
