A Memory Café is a social gathering for those personally dealing with memory loss and those who help care for those with these challenges. The goal is to have some fun, get to know others in the community with similar challenges, and to enjoy time with caring people who understand and support those with memory loss. Anyone with memory loss or concerns about memory loss is welcome to attend and family or professional caregivers are encouraged to attend, too. Volunteers ensure that everyone is included in the program.
The Needham Memory Cafe program is hosted by Avita of Needham and FirstLight HomeCare and supported by the Needham Council on Aging and other organizations and volunteers in the community. The next program date is Wednesday, January 8th from 11am to 12 noon. The program takes place at the Center at the Heights in Needham, MA.
