FirstLight Home Care of West Suburban Boston and Boston-Back Bay has been a long standing supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association and the fight to cure Alzheimer’s, a disease that affects millions of individuals and families on a daily basis. The newest reports estimate that there are currently more than 5 million Americans age 65+ that are living with Alzheimer’s – a number expected to nearly triple by 2050.
This year, our Executive Director & Co-Owner, Wendy Adlerstein, LSW, is proudly serving on the organizing committee of the Greater Boston Alzheimer’s Walk, and our office team will once again take another step in the fight to support those facing Alzheimer’s and all dementias by participating as a team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s and other dementias remains prevalent and now more than ever, the support for families and their loved ones is critical.
