Award program helps consumers evaluate home care providers based on satisfaction ratings

CINCINNATI, Ohio (February 7, 2017) – FirstLight Home Care, a leader in non-medical home care services, has been recognized as one of the top providers in the industry by the 2017 Best of Home Care^® Awards.

The awards are presented annually by Home Care Pulse, the premier third-party research and quality assurance home care management firm. Based solely on feedback from clients and employees, the Best in Home Care Awards recognize home care providers that offer excellent in-home care. More than one-third of FirstLight’s locations across the United States were recognized with a Best of Home Care Award.

Non-medical home care is the fastest-growing healthcare segment, with 40 percent growth expected between now and 2020. The growth of the segment is being driven by the explosion of the population aged 65 or older. According to a study by the AARP Public Policy Institute, 87 percent of adults in this age bracket want to stay in their current homes and communities as they age.
